The Peterson Brothers have been hailed as “The future of Austin music” by Mark Murray of Sun Radio, and “Some of the most talented musicians I have seen come out of Austin” by Jamfeed. Led by Glenn Jr. on vocals and guitar, and Alex, a GRAMMY® award-winning artist, on bass, vocals, and even the violin, the Peterson Brothers combine youthful energy and modern influences with soul, funk, blues & jazz to create a sound that is uniquely their own. They have toured throughout the United States, playing with and opening for the likes of Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Buddy Guy, the late B.B. King and other musical greats.
Their musical journey began when their mother and grandmother gave them a treasure trove of assorted albums and a turntable from a garage sale, sparking a lifelong love affair with the sounds of iconic artists such as The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Brothers Johnson, and B.B. King. The Peterson Brothers' live performances are nothing short of a celebration. Onstage, their synchronized movements, from stepping and twisting to swaying in harmony, create a mesmerizing experience that captivates audiences.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune described a Peterson Brothers festival set "like a NASCAR race" with a "crescendoing jam through the Dramatics’ What You See Is What You Get or the version of Al Green’s Take Me to the River that sounded like it originated on Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions. As torchbearers of classic American music, the Peterson Brothers continue to leave an indelible mark on the music scene, captivating audiences with their infectious spirit and a musical prowess that pays homage to the timeless sounds that inspired their journey.
