Wow, talk about a powerhouse of talent. This is it. Together on the Odeon stage, renowned musicians Shelley King, Carolyn Wonderland and Marcia Ball combine their singing, songwriting and energy for what promises to be an incredible evening of entertainment. Each is a beloved performer in her own right.
Shelley King draws from a spectrum of roots music styles, but one word sums it up: soulful. Whether it’s R&B, folk, blues, country, bluegrass or rock, she delivers the goods straight from the heart with a voice that’s splendidly rich and warm and as big as all outdoors. Her latest album, "Madam Mystic," marks Shelley’s 10th release.
Carolyn Wonderland is a multi-award winning singer, songwriter and musician whose powerful voice garners frequent comparisons to Janis Joplin. Her instrumental abilities include guitar, slide guitar, mandolin, trumpet, and piano. While firmly entrenched in blues-rock, Carolyn likes to incorporate elements of country swing, zydeco, surf, gospel, soul, and even jazz into her musical mix.
Pianist, songwriter, and vocalist Marcia Ball has won worldwide fame and countless fans for her ability to ignite a full-scale roadhouse party every time she takes the stage. Her music is mixed with equal parts simmering soul fervor and two-fisted piano pounding. Between her deeply emotive vocals and her incisive, often poignant songwriting, Marcia is in a class by herself.
