Matt Kirk and The Gueyfarers

Matt Kirk and the Güeyfarers are an exceptional, and not-to-be-missed, live act. Matt grew up in the hill country of Texas with a talented musical family, and he’s been playing music for as long as he can remember. His mother Sylvia is a long-time musician and singer in the San Antonio area​, and they regularly play gigs together to this day. Their album "Matt and Ma" was released in 2022.  ​

In 2020, Matt banded together with some of the best musicians of the area and formed The Güeyfarers (pronounced Wayfarers). The band consists of Matt Cain on keys, Jimmy Hartman on bass and vocals, Brandon Custer on drums and seasoned veteran Eric Demmer on sax. They released their full length debut album in the fall of 2022. 

His musical influences are wide ranging, from folk and country to blues and classic rock to Tejano to Americana and western swing. Individual influences include the great Levon Helm, Jimmy LaFave, Leon Russell, Doug Sahm, Auggie Meyers and Flaco Jimenez, Monte Montgomery, and Scott Byers among several others.  

Tickets are $25 per person if purchased in advance and $30 at the door (cash only at the door). Tickets may be purchased below with a credit card or Paypal. All sales are final. Please note, tickets are NOT issued. Your receipt from PayPal is your ticket. Please print and bring with you or be able show receipt on your phone. Your name will appear on the WILL CALL list at the door.
